What is the HC-WIB? Mission Statement: The Humboldt County Workforce Investment Board brings together resources to meet employer and employee needs to advance the prosperity of our communities.
The full WIB meets every three months. Two other committees, the Executive Committee and the Youth Council, meet on a monthly basis.
Board Members There are currently 33 members on the HC-WIB, including a Chair and Vice-Chair. The members represent business, community based organizations, elected officials, education, labor organizations, and local government staff.

Youth Council Mission: It is the mission of the Council to provide the youth of the County a coordinated system that ensures opportunities to become productive, contributing, and socially responsible adults.
Vision: It is the vision of the Council to provide leadership, direction, and support in coordinating youth services to meet the needs of all youth in the County.

Green Employer Council: Mission: It is the mission of the Green Employer Council to serve as a central clearinghouse for information and resources businesses and agencies will need to take advantage of opportunities of the emerging green economy.
Vision: It is the vision of the Council to provide leadership, direction and support to the contractors and businesses and individuals that are participating in the emerging green economy on the Redwood Coast.
